Building Great Boards 2015 will do exactly what is says on the box – it will inspire and practically help you get together and maintain a great, purposeful, high achieving, strategic board that will help your organisation fly.

Committed to  building board capacity in the NFP sector, the speaker lineup has partnered with Grow to host this event and is aimed at current and potential board members and CEOs / senior managers. You will develop your skills, clarify your thinking, and leave with innovative strategies to boost the effectiveness of your board.  You will also build networks with other NFP leaders and understand the way that they have responded to the same challenges that face your organisation.

With a speaker line-up who are experts in visioning, strategy, leadership, accounting and legal issues we touch on the very issues that you and your board face each day. The inclusion of Karen Vercoe, speaking on the unique challenges and opportunities for Maori governance, ensures this programme will deliver. In addition, we follow the day with two interactive Masterclasses for those who really want to build their expertise in this area .

The event is over two days: day one is conference style and day is a  masterclass with Steven Bowman.  The events complement one another and we strongly recommend you consider both, though single day passes are available.

Building Great Boards 2015  is designed specifically to support busy managers and board members to improve their insights, knowledge and effectiveness with a speaker line-up made up from those who have been on boards, have advised boards and have experienced the best and worst that boards can be – and they have two goals in mind: to help your board thrive and improve its strategic impact on the organisations it is to serve.
